At around 3pm A large earthquake occured off Japan sending a huge tsunami inland!

I think all of us on this forum is thinking of our Japnese friends at the moment

They didn't consider this in TM8.0 - A massive explosion has rocked a Japanese nuclear power plant after Friday's devastating earthquake.

It's one thing to be watching an anime what-if story, it's a whole other matter watching the live-action version on BBC News 24.

Also bear in mind that an 8.9 magnitude earthquake is about 8 times stronger than 8.0. It's a log10 scale.

Everyone in know in Japan lives far to the west of Tokyo, which is a relief for me.
