I forgot to ask around on Tuesday, so I figured I'd do it on here.
Does anyone have a Intel E4x00 processor (Core2Duo with 800MHz FSB) going spare? They're relatively elderly but the price for a new one is about £90, similar to the much better i3 and i5 processors.
For anyone interested, I'm trying to repurpose my old gaming rig, and was planning on trying the new Windows Home Server beta on it. This means upgrading to a 64-bit processor. The E4700 is the fastest processor I can put in that motherboard, but I'd be happy with a 4500 or 4600 as well. |

We have a load of old servers to get rid of, but none of them Core 2s (or quiet). |
